Lois M. Testroet, age 68, of Auburn and formerly of Carroll passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at her home. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll with Fr. Timothy Johnson as Celebrant. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 6:00 P.M. on Friday evening where there will be a Christian Wake Service held at 7:00 P.M. by Holy Spirit Parish. The casket will be moved to Holy Spirit Church at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday where visitation will resume until the time of service. Music for the Mass will be by Barb McDermott and the Holy Spirit Choir. Lector for the Mass will be Lance Presley. Gift bearers will be Lois’ grandchildren: Courtney, Caitlin, Tim, Abigail, Hannah, and Emerson. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com Born on September 16, 1946 in Dedham, she was the daughter of Henry and Eleanor (Sandrock) Heman. She grew up in Dedham where she went to grade school. Lois graduated from Carroll High School in 1964. Following high school she moved to Omaha and worked for Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company. She was married to Ken Testroet on June 5, 1965 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dedham by Fr. Henry Meyer. The couple made their home in Carroll and Lois worked for Mid American Energy for 29 years and then Sitel for 12 years. She was currently employed at the Graphic Edge in Carroll. Lois was a member of Holy Spirit Parish. Lois was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved to be at home and she cherished every moment she spent with her family. Lois is survived by her husband Ken of Auburn; two daughters: Kim Griger and her fiancé Bob Schmidt of Omaha and Amy Presley and her husband Lance of Urbandale; six grandchildren: Courtney Griger of Omaha, Caitlin Griger of Omaha, Tim Griger and his wife Meghan of Omaha, and Abigail, Hannah, and Emerson Presley of Urbandale; two great grandchildren: Jamie and Melody; twin sisters: Anita Brumbaugh and her husband Joe of Omaha and Bonita Heuton of Carroll; a brother-in-law Ron Testroet of Phoenix, AZ; a sister-in-law Elizabeth Klocke and her husband Richard of Marshalltown; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Clifford, Ron, and Henry, and three sisters: Mary Miller, Ardella Moore, and Charlotte Heman.
