Lisa K. Feilmeier, age 56, of Glidden, IA, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Glidden with Fr. Patrick Behm as Celebrant.  Lector for the Mass will be Sandy Kautzky.  Music will be by the St. Elizabeth Seton Choir with Mary Ross as organist.  Gift bearers will be Linda Hackfort, Lori Dopheide, and Sandy Kautzky.  Casket bearers will be Neil Hackfort, Aaron Kautzky, Kyle Kautzky, Jake Rath, and Dylan Hasenpflug, and Danny Feilmeier.  Burial will be in the Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery near Glidden.

Visitation will be held at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church on Friday from 5 – 7 P.M.  Additional visitation will be held at the church from 12:00 – 12:45 P.M. on Saturday prior to the Mass.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family suggests memorials be made to the Carroll Animal Rescue of which Lisa was a passionate supporter.

Lisa was born on April 1, 1967 in Carroll, IA, and she was the daughter of Raphael and Virginia (Renze) Knobbe.  She grew up in Templeton and graduated from Kuemper High School 1986.  She attended La James School of Cosmetology in Des Moines.  Following college she taught Cosmetology in Des Moines,  Ft. Dodge, St. Louis, and Ames.  Lisa was married to Leonard Feilmeier on June 13, 1992 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Templeton.  The couple lived in St. Louis for two years, Minburn, IA, for two years, then Ralston, IA, for 26 years before moving to their new home near Glidden in 2020.  For the past several years, Lisa has cleaned for several local families as well as Collins Aerospace.  She also owned and operated Hair Repair Salon out of her home.  Lisa had a bubbly personality and a huge heart for animals.  She was prone to taking in and feeding any animal in need.  She was a passionate supporter of the Carroll Animal Rescue.  She was an awesome grandma and loved doing art projects with her grandchildren.

Lisa is survived by her husband Leonard; her son Alex Feilmeier (Ashley) of West Des Moines; a step-daughter Alicia Patrick (Addison) of Carroll; six grandchildren: Ryker, Brysen, Atticus, Paxtyn, Aiden and Drayke; her mother Virginia Knobbe of Carroll; three sisters: Linda Hackfort (John) of Carroll, Lori Dopheide (Randy) of Scranton, and Sandy Kautzky (Joe) of Templeton; a sister-in-law Barb Rath (Mike) of Glidden; a brother-in-law Jim Feilmeier (Kathy) of Glidden; her mother-in-law Marcia Feilmeier of Glidden; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins; and her dogs Rosie and Gordon.

Lisa was preceded in death by her first husband Michael Venteicher; father Raphael Knobbe; her father-in-law Leonard Feilmeier; and a brother-in-law Timothy Hasenpflug.
