LeRoy was born on November 2, 1936 at St. Anthony’s Regional Hospital in Carroll, Iowa to LeRoy and Arlene (Brockman) Kaspersen Sr.

LeRoy was baptized on November 29, 1936 and confirmed April 6, 1952 both at Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia, Iowa.

LeRoy graduated from Westside High School with the class of 1955. On February 16, 1958 he married Joyce Heuton at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lidderdale, Iowa.

LeRoy was a devoted husband to Joyce and loving father to his 3 daughters, Diane, Kathy and Michelle. Proud grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 8. He was a faithful Christian whose life was centered on faith, family, hard work, and a love for the simple joys of life.

LeRoy was a hardworking farmer who dedicated his life to raising crops and livestock. He took pride in his work and found satisfaction in caring for the land with his family and tending to the responsibilities of farm life. His strong work ethic and determination were an example to those around him.

When he wasn't farming, LeRoy enjoyed gardening, carpentry, and fishing. He loved working with his hands and creating things, and he appreciated the rewards that came from patience and hard work. He also had a fun-loving, outgoing personality and enjoyed dancing, taking road trips, and making memories with Joyce and his family. He had a special appreciation for anything sweet and Joyce magically made treats appear from her purse, which always put a big smile on his face.

Above all, LeRoy was a devoted Christian whose faith was an important part of his life. His faith, love, and dedication helped shape the man he was and the example he set for his family. He understood the importance of family, the value of hard work, and the blessings found in everyday life.

LeRoy will be remembered for his loving heart, strong faith, hardworking spirit, outgoing nature, teasing, smirks and winks he would give his family, and the joy he found in spending time with those he loved. He made the most of the life he was given and enjoyed each day to the fullest.

His passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of his family and friends, but the memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the faith he lived by will continue to live on through the generations. His family takes comfort in the love he shared, the life he lived, and the hope and promise of his Christian faith. LeRoy's legacy is one of faith, family, hard work, and love - a legacy that will be treasured always.
