Leonard James “Jimmy” White Jr., age 57, of Ralston, Iowa, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden with Chaplain Peg Scheidt officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Dillavou Cemetery near Ralston.
Born on April 6, 1957 in Jefferson, Iowa, he was the son of Leonard and Doris (Cavallier) White. He grew up in Carroll and graduated from Carroll High School in 1975. After high school he drove a truck for Krajicek Trucking in Denison. He was married to Ruth Argotsinger on August 21, 1977 at Dow City, Iowa. To this union were born three sons: Leonard James III, Bryce Jonathan, and Tyler Jeremiah. Jimmy enjoyed riding his motor cycle, fishing, watching movies, and spending time with his family. He was a trucker at heart and loved to be on the road.
He is survived by his three sons: Leonard James White III of Miami, Florida, Bryce Jonathan White of Manning, Iowa, and Tyler Jeremiah White of Manning, Iowa; two grandsons: Quintinn and Preston; and a granddaughter Cayleigh; his mother Doris White of rural Scranton, Iowa; a sister Sandy White of Jefferson, Iowa; two brothers Kevin White of Carroll, and Scott White and his wife Lynn of Palmer, Iowa; a sister-in-law Patty Whtie of St. Augustine, Floirda several nephews, and cousins; and his good friends Gary Warnke and Doug Dailey. Jimmy was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father Leonard in 2002, and his brother Rick White in 2002.
