Neva Lenora Warnke, age 91, of Carroll passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Nebraska Medical Center in Bellevue, NE. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll with Pastor Brian Licht officiating. Casket bearers will be Patrick Martin, Codi Olson, Cameron Timmerwilke, Dylan Wiesen, and Brandon Wiesen. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church from 9:30 A.M. on Thursday until the time of service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com Born on March 18, 1926 in Sarcoxie, Missouri, she was the daughter of Joseph Earl and Elsie Mae (Randolph) Wooten. Lenora as she was known to most grew up in Oakland, Ia and her family moved to Coon Rapids when she was in the sixth grade. She attended school at Old Carrollton. Neva then moved back to Missouri and lived three years. She was married to Lyle Warnke on January 12, 1944 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll. The couple made their home on a farm near Glidden. Lenora stayed with her parents until Lyle returned from his service in the military when thy moved to Carroll. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll. Lenora enjoyed playing cards, dancing, reading, and spending time with her family. Lenora is survived by a daughter Susan Martin of Bellevue, Ne; six grandchildren: Curtis Wenck and his wife Karen of Bellevue, Ne, Christy Abrams and her husband Bob of Papillion, Ne, Shawndel Roberts and her husband David of Omaha, Heather Wickersham and her husband Scott of Council Bluffs, and Shani Wiesen and her husband Tom of Fremont, Ne; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters: Nadine Boell of Carroll, Charlene Snyder and her husband Al of Carroll, and Peggy of Oregon; a brother: Jerry Wooten and his wife Betty of Riverside, CA; a brother-in-law Norman Warnke of Carroll; other extended family members and many nieces, nephews and good friends. Lenora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lyle in 1980, a sister Doris Vasquez, a brother Tom Wooten in 2017, a daughter Karen Suverkrubbe in 2005, and a grandson Matthew Martin in 2015.
