Larry Lee Schaeuble, age 53, of Carroll, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Carroll on Wednesday, June 08, 2011.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, June 17, 2011 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with Fr. Timothy Johnson of Holy Spirit Catholic Church officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. on Friday until the time of service. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery with military honors by the Carroll American Legion.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll.
Born on August 29, 1957 in Carroll, Iowa, he was the son of Joseph and Beverly (Rattenborg) Schaeuble. He grew up in Carroll and entered the United States Army in 1977 serving seven years. He was stationed in Germany. Larry was honorably discharged in 1983 and returned to Carroll where he worked as a plumber for Scheck’s Plumbing and Heating. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Larry was an avid turkey and deer hunter, he enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Surviving are two brothers: Darrell Schaeuble and his wife Cindy of Kansas City, Missouri, and Ron Schaeuble of Willey; four sisters: Joan Janssen and her husband Bruce of Glidden, Janet Geary of Berwick, Jolene Schaeuble of Indianola, and Joyce Danner and her husband Jeff of Dedham; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparnets, and a son Adrian.
