Kevin James Petersen, age 37, of Carroll, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with Fr. Timothy Johnson of Holy Spirit Catholic Church officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. on Saturday at the Funeral Home until the time of service. Music for the service will be by Carolyn Miller. Born on March 5, 1973 at Omaha, Nebraska, he was the son of Martin and Margaret (Nevins) Stuetleburg. He grew up in Cass and Carroll Counties graduating from Rockwell City High School 1992. He attended Iowa Lakes Community College and then worked as a trucker for several companies. He was married to Nannette Poulson on September 24, 2001 at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. In his spare time he enjoyed grilling, swimming, his dogs Molly and Gracie, muscle cars, working on his pickups, and spending time with his friends and family. Surviving are his wife Nannette Petersen of Chaska, Minnesota; a son Tyler Beeck of Schleswig; three step children: Natosha Thomas and her husband Michael of Trimont, Minnesota, Jami Poulson of Fairmont, Minnesota, and Jeffrey Dale of Sherburn, Minnesota; a step-grandson Skyler; his paternal grandmother Delma Bennett and her husband Bill of Kimballton, Iowa; his mother Margaret Petersen and her husband Randy of Manson, Iowa; a brother Brian Fagan and his wife Tammy of Carroll; a sister Joy Petersen of Manson, Iowa; a sister Martha Stuetleburg of Lewis, Iowa; a brother Beau Stuetleburg of Omaha; three nieces: Kelsey, Katelynn, and Karly; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death his father Martin Stuetelburg, his grandparents: Inez and Don Nevins and Harold Stuetelburg.
