     Keith “Whitey” Alan Vetter, age 71, of Manning, IA, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025 at his residence in rural Manning surrounded by his family.

     Funeral services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, December 27, 2025 with Pastor Andrew Noble officiating. Organist for the service will be Carolyn Kerkhoff. Casket bearers will be Dan Irlbeck, Keith Leiting, Eric Richardson, Richard “Dick” Johnson, Russell DeWitt, and Ryan DeWitt. Honorary casket bearers will be members of Keith’s card club Bev Vonnahme, Ron and Donna Irlmeier, Carol Irlmeier, Mary Armentrout, Ronald Frahm, and Carol and Richard Schmidt. Burial will be in the Arcadia Cemetery at a later date.

     Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll on Friday, December 26, 2025 from 5 – 7 P.M. where there will be a prayer service held at 7 P.M. The casket will be moved to Zion Lutheran Church on Saturday at 9:15 A.M. where visitation will resume from 9:30 – 10:15 A.M. prior to the service.

     Keith was born on November 6, 1954 in Carroll, Iowa. He was the son of Raymond August and Marcella “Sally” Lucille (Holck) Vetter. He grew up on the family farm where he lived for over 70 years. He graduated from Manning High School in 1973 and then worked at Cesh Company building prefabricated hog barns and Collison Farms. Keith was married to Laurie Larson on January 15, 1982 in a blizzard at Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia. They lived on the farm where he grew up and farmed until 2005 when he began working for Renze Hybrid/RenPro and mowing for Carroll County Conservation retiring in 2023. Keith enjoyed playing cards with friends, spending time at his cabin in Minnesota, working on his Corvette, and hanging out with friends and socializing with friends.

     Keith is survived by his son David of Manning; a sister Carol Satterlee (Alan) of Omaha; a brother Dennis Vetter (Dianne) of Arcadia; a sister-in-law Marge Larson of Lake City; and four nieces and nephews: Brian Satterlee (Karen), Leora DeWitt (Randy) Kristen Pomajzl (Jarrod), Donnie Vetter (Mollie).

     Keith was preceded in death by his wife Laurie Vetter in 2014, his parents Ray and Sally Vetter; his mother-law Patricia Parker – Larson – Eikenberry; a brother-in-law Randy Larson; and a sister in infancy LuAnn; and an infant son Michael Vetter.
