Keane LeRoy Lucht, age 66, of Guthrie Center passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at his home in Guthrie Center. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Coon Rapids with Pastor Alan Miller of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Coon Rapids on Thursday from 1:30 P.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Willow Township Cemtery near Coon Rapids. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Coon Rapids and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com Born on July 7, 1950 in Jefferson, Iowa, he was the son of Roy and Louise (Carstens) Lucht He was Baptized on July 13, 1950 and also confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Coon Rapids. Keane attended and graduated from Coon Rapids High School. He enjoyed track (qualifying for State), football and basketball. He joined the US Army in 1968 and served 4 years. After the service he returned to Coon Rapids and lived with his parents for a while. He won a new Ford Pinto at a Coon Rapids Main Street Drawing in 1972. He was then employed by Denison Packing Plant and Schmidt Concrete in Audubon for years. It was in Audubon at the Hamburger Shop where he met the gal of his dreams, Roberta (Bobbi) Joens. They were married on April 30, 1977. Bobbi’s daughter, Danyelle Marie 6 years of age, brought lots of joy and excitement to their lives. Ken enjoyed his garden and going fishing during that time. In 1989 Bobbi was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and passed away June 14, 1991. In 1992 Keane moved to Phoenix, AZ to live with his brother, Robert (Bob). He was employed by ProMark for years in their IT Library Department. In 2006 Ken and Bob moved to Black Canyon City, AZ where Ken worked at Walmart until he retired. In late 2013, they moved back to Iowa to be closer to family and to scoop snow! Yes, he enjoyed his winters here at their home in Guthrie Center. Keane enjoyed Auto Racing and his Chicago Bears Football team. Health problems lessened his activities this past year. But on Sunday, Oct. 2nd, he was able to attend the annual kin ‘garage party’ at the Knudsen’s’, enjoying cards and a BBQ supper. Keane was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta in 1991; parents, Roy and Louse Lucht, Nephew Jason Grice, Great-niece Amber Hansen and Great-nephew Sterling Hansen. Grandparents Bob & Winnie Lucht and John and Marie Carstens. Keane is survived by sisters; Betty (Dick) Knudsen, Jo-Ann Grice and Karen (Max) Olesen, Coon Rapids and brothers; Robert (Bob) Lucht of Guthrie Center and Timothy John Lucht of Adel, IA. A step-daughter, Danyelle Joens-Tuttle and granddaughters, Hannah and Lily Mae Tuttle of Stoughton, WI. He leaves 3 aunts; Rosie Hunter, Panora, IA; Faye Carstens, Bayard, IA and Lois Montesano, N. Ft. Myers, FL. Along with several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews and friends.
