Karl Allen Devore

Karl Allen DeVore, age 30, of Lanesboro, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 in Glidden, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with Chaplain Elaine Johnston officiating. Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home from 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday until the time of service. Pallbearers: Dustin Warnke, Russell Warnke, Paul Synowiecki, Thomas McCullough, David Warnke, James Warnke, and Benny Pedersen. Honorary pallbearers: (nieces and nephews) Kali Warnke, Kyra Warnke, Kiley Warnke, Devin Warnke, Abby Bauer, and Kane Wiederien, Scarlett Baker. Burial will be in the Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery near Glidden. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com Born on September 30, 1983 in Carroll, Iowa, he was the son of Tammy DeVore and Michael Warnke. Karl grew up in Lanesboro and attended Southern Cal High School. Following high school he worked at Delevan and did roofing and drywall work. Karl enjoyed swimming, camping, trick riding on his BMX bike, and hot rods. Karl was a warm and generous person always willing to lend a hand. He enjoyed giving gifts to family and friends he had not seen for a while. He is survived by his father Michael Warnke and his wife Angi of Carroll; thr ee sisters: Ashley McCullough and her husband Thomas of Denison, Iowa, Misty Warnke of Denison, Iowa, and Sashe DeVore of Council Bluffs; three brothers: Paul Synowiecki of Carroll, Dustin Warnke and his fiancé Michelle Wilson of Carroll, and Russell Warnke and his fiancé Tasha Archer of Carroll; his grandfather John DeVore of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Karl was preceded in death by three brothers and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
