Kari Ann Bissen

Kari Ann (Vonnahme) Bissen, age 32, of Carroll and formerly of Carnarvon passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll surrounded by her family.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with Pastor Cindy Johnson of St. John Lutheran Church in Carroll officiating.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday until the time of service.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com

Born on May 19, 1986 in Carroll, she was the daughter of Richard Vonnahme and Kelli Washburn.  Kari grew up in the Carroll area and her family moved to Wisconsin when she was eleven years old.  She graduated from Ladysmith High School in 2005.  Kari moved to Colorado where she attended college and was married to David Unrein.  To this union was born a daughter Lillie Jeanne.  They moved back to Lake City area and later divorced.  Kari was later married to Garett Bissen on May 20, 2017 in Carnarvon.  She worked at New Opportunities, K-Mart, and Walmart.  Kari enjoyed crafting, puzzles, coloring, fishing, and playing with her daughter.

Kari is survived by her husband Garett; her mother Kelli Washburn of Carnarvon; her dad Richard Vonnahme (Lieslie) of Carroll; her daughter Lillie; her grandfather Dallas Dahle of Carnarvon; a brother Andrew Vonnahme of Carnarvon; a sister Jennifer Vonnahme of Carroll; and other extended family and good friends.

Kari was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Patricia Ohden; and her paternal grandparents Martin and Juanita Vonnahme.
