By baptism, she became a beloved child of God the Father in Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. She received the seeds of faith, hope, and love, with the Good Lord continually teaching and gardening her soul throughout her life. By God's grace and Joleen's cooperation, those seeds blossomed into the flower of a loving, faith-filled servant of God, family, and friends. Joleen was a graduate of Glidden-Ralston High School and Iowa State University. She was united in marriage to Lynn Joseph Stork on June 17, 1978, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lidderdale. Her loving service was experienced daily by her husband Lynn; their three children Blake, Darrin, Heidi; her son-in-law Ethan Lensch; and by her extended family. She loved teaching and forming the minds and hearts of students in the Yale-Jamaica-Bagley (2), Scranton (8), and Carroll (25) school districts for 35 years. Following her retirement, she accepted a full-time position feeding and caring for the men on the farm. She continued teaching in the community as a substitute and by imparting the Catholic faith to her CCD students in Glidden. Joleen also served her community in roles with St. Elizabeth Seton Parish, New Hope Village, the Richland Hotshots 4-H group, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved being with family and friends, while also making time to pray, attend daily Mass often, tend her garden, read, and exercise. Joleen died on April 22, 2016, in an accident while riding her bike near her home. Her heart-warming presence will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the nearby communities. Through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, we now entrust her to the Most Merciful and Sacred Heart of Jesus. Joleen is survived by her husband Lynn of rural Glidden; their children Blake of Dubuque, Darrin of Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Heidi (Ethan) Lensch of Des Moines; her parents Don and Lu Wiederin of Scranton; three sisters and their husbands: JoAnn and Brian Johnson of Glidden, Cindy and Randy Klink of Vail, and Jackie and Rick Sward of Monument, Colorado; mother-in-law Charlene Stork of rural Glidden; brothers and sisters-in-law: Kevin and Lori Danner of Glidden, Lyle Stork of rural Glidden, Dave and Lisa Borkowski of Carroll, and Mike and Leslie Winnett of Johnston; 21 nieces and nephews; and a granddaughter soon to be born. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law Loras Stork and brother-in-law Lee Stork.
