Daryl Duane “Jim” Moore, age 89, of Lidderdale, IA, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Thursday, December 27, 2018 the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with Chaplain Angelo Luis of St. Anthony Regional Hospital officiating. Casket bearers will be Jim's nephews. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery with military honors by the Carroll American Legion.
Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com
Born on March 22, 1929 in Carroll County, IA, Jim as he was known to most, was the son of Chester “Joe” Moore and Geraldine (Gotsch) Moore. Jim was a lifelong resident of Lidderdale where he attended public school as a boy and graduated from Carroll High School. He served two years in the United States Army. Jim worked for the Carroll County ASCS and farmed.
Jim is survived by a sister Donna Schleisman of Keokuk, IA; a sisters-in-law: Colleen Moore of Omaha, NE; and 11 eleven nieces and nephews.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Robert and Vernon and Richard; a sister Jean Neppel; a sister-in-law Ardietta "Dee Dee"; two brothers-in-law: Merle Schleisman and Ralph Neppel; and a niece Sharon Schleisman.
