Jerry D. Prichard

Jerry Dana Prichard, age 66, of Glidden, IA, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at his home in Glidden.

Graveside services will be held at the Smithland Cemetery in Smithland, IA, at a later date.

Born on November 19, 1952 in Sioux City, IA, he was the son of Stewart and Justine (Miller) Prichard.  Jerry grew up in Hornick, IA, and graduated from Westwood High School in Sloan, IA.  Following high school, Jerry worked with his father on the family farm and then moved to Craig, Colorado where he worked for Trapper Coal Mining Company for many years.  He was married to Marsha Helgerson on June 13, 1981 at Grizzly Park on Black Mountain near Craig, CO.  He moved back to Iowa for several years and owned and operated Power Milling Specialties.  Jerry moved to Wyoming for several years and then back to Iowa in 2002.  Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking.

Jerry is survived by his five children: daughter Kate Nagl (Nate), son Jonathan Prichard (Anna), daughter Suzanne Brittain, son Andrew Prichard, and daughter Stacey Prichard; eight grandchildren; his mother Justine Prichard; three brothers: Jake Prichard (Loretta), Jeff Prichard, and Jason Prichard; and several nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father Stewart Prichard and his wife Marsha Prichard in 1985.
