Jeffrey Norbert Tiefenthaler, age 65, of Carroll, IA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at his home in Carroll.

According to Jeff’s wishes, no services will be held.

Jeff was born on January 27, 1961 in Carroll, IA, and he was the son of Verle and Judith (Vogel) Tiefenthaler. He graduated from Kuemper High School in 1979 and then attended Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs. Jeff moved to Colorado after college where he worked as a machinist. He later moved back to Carroll and worked for the Delevan Corporation. He was a lifelong member of St. Lawrence Parish. Jeff enjoyed golf, baseball, slow pitch softball, and watching sports on television. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan.

Jeff is survived by his four siblings: Janet Brown (Randy) of Omaha, Jill Tiefenthaler of Carroll, Jay Tiefenthaler of Waukee, and Julie Short (Allan) of Carroll; four nieces; two nephews; one great-niece; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents Verle and Judith Tiefenthaler.
