Jeanine Petersen

     Jeanine “Jeanie” Renee Petersen, age 53, of Manning passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at University of Nebraska Medical Center.      Graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Manning City Cemetery with Pastor Johnathan Conner of Zion Lutheran Church officiating.         Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home and online condolences may be left for Jeanie’s family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com       Jeanie was born on September 18, 1964 in Carroll, IA, and was the daughter of Ivan and JoAnn (Lehrter) Petersen.  She grew up in Manning where she graduated from high school in 1983.  Following high school she worked jobs as a secretary, in construction, as a nurses aide and waitress.  She enjoyed motorcycles, going to car shows and collecting wolves and knick knacks and visiting with friends. She taught her kids how to swim. She was not afraid to give anyone her opinion.   Jeanie lived most of her life with health issues, causing her to be limited to certain things.         Jeanie is survived by two sons: Dustin Petersen of Arcadia and Cody Petersen (Ashley) of Irwin; mother: JoAnn Petersen of Manning; her grandchildren: Brian, Zane, Gunner, and Hunter; brother: Rick Petersen of Manning; and two nephews, Joe and Jed Petersen and many friends.     She is preceded in death by her father, Ivan; and grandparents.
