Jay Anthony Casali, son of John and Nancy (Rountree) Casali, was born October 13, 1973, at Colorado Springs, Colorado. Jay lived his early childhood in Colorado Springs and when he was eight years old, his family moved to Dunlap, Iowa. Before his ninth grade year, the family returned to Colorado Springs. As a young boy, Jay worked with his father in a riding stable and continued this work following his schooling. Jay also worked in a machine shop while in Colorado. While in Denison, Iowa, Jay worked at IBP and Farmland.
From a young age, Jay was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed horses, hunting and fishing.
On Saturday, March 5, 2011, Jay died suddenly and unexpectedly at his home in Harlan, Iowa. He was thirty-seven years old.
Jay is survived by his father John Casali of Westside; a brother Cory Casali of Detroit, Michigan; a sister Gina Rountree of Detroit, Michigan; and by cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a cousin Andy Androy.
