Janice Louise Troutman - Fryman

Janice Louise (Troutman) Fryman, age 70, of Dedham passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll. Funeral service will held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, May 8, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Coon Rapids with Pastor Joyce Webb officiating. Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Coon Rapids from 5 – 7 P.M. on Thursday evening. The casket will be moved to the United Methodist Church in Coon Rapids at 9:00 A.M. on Friday where visitation will resume until the time of service. Organist for the service will be Lula Garnes. Casket bearers will be her nephews. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery near Woodward at 1:30 P.M. on Friday. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Coon Rapids and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com Born on November 1, 1944 in Carroll, she was the daughter of William L. and Jennie Mae (Noland) Troutman. She grew up on a farm near Coon Rapids and graduated from Coon Rapids Community High School 1963. Following high school she moved to Des Moines and worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. She was married to Douglas Grant Fryman on September 2, 1967 at the United Methodist Church in Coon Rapids. To this union were born two children: Jill and Todd. They lived in Ames until 1971, and they moved to Tempe, AZ until 1978 when they moved to Colorado Springs CO. She worked at Iowa State University while living in Ames and sold real estate while living in Colorado. The couple divorced in 1992 and Janice moved to Nevada, IA where she worked several jobs. She moved to Chesapeake, VA in 2005 to be close to her daughter Jill and to Dedham in 2008. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Coon Rapids. Janice is survived by a son Todd Fryman and his wife Chelsea of Peyton, CO; a daughter Jill Collier and her husband Lance USN CDR of California, MD; four grandchildren: Cody (7), Logan (5), Peyton (15), and Ryan (12); three sisters: Peggy Eason and her husband Bob of Scranton, Mary Muench and her husband Merle of Hastings, MN, and Carol Golwitzer and her husband Gerald of Dedham; three brothers: Gary Troutman and his wife Audrey of Coon Rapids, Mike Troutman and his wife Beth of Dedham, and David Troutman and his wife Roxanne of Yale, IA; and many nieces and nephews. Janice was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Larry Troutman.
