Jamie Dawn Liechti, age 35, of Arcadia, IA passed away on
Monday, January 20, 2014 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE surrounded by her family.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday,
February 1, 2014 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in
Carroll with Rev. Dennis Bailey of First United Methodist Church
in Carroll officiating. Organist for the service will be Ellen Severin and soloist will be Jake Gute. Casket bearers are her brothers: Dean, Darrell, Dan, and Dale Liechti, and nephews: Josh Liechti and Nik Rasmussen. Honorary Casket bearers are her nephew Charles Liechti and great niece Jayda Liechti. Visitation will be at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll on Friday, January 31, 2014, after 5 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Jamie’s name and memorials may be left at the funeral home.
Born on October 12, 1978 in Carroll, IA, she was the daughter of Earl and Jeanett (Anderson) Liechti. Jamie lived the majority of her life in Arcadia and attended Ar-We-Va School. Jamie enjoyed country music, cards, puzzles, books, and holding hands. Jamie was the heart of her family and admired by many for her vibrant sense of humor.
Jamie is survived by her mother Jeanett of Arcadia; three sisters Joleen
Bolger (Alan) of Grimes; Joan Hansen of Sac City; Jan Rasmussen (Tim) of South Sioux City, NE; four brothers Dean Liechti (Cheryl Koch) of Carroll; Darrell Liechti (Beth Schmidt) of Carroll; Dan Liechti (Mindy) of Sheldon; and Dale Liechti (Rebecca) of Carroll; three nephews: Josh Liechti (Kenzie), Nik Rasmussen, and Charles Liechti; a great niece Jayda Liechti; an uncle, several aunts and cousins. Jamie was preceded in death by her grandparents and her father.
