James Y. Kong

James Yoa Kong, age 52, of Carroll passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with Pastor James Puotyual officiating. Casket bearers will be James’ family members. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com James was born on May 5, 1968 in South Sudan and was the son of Kong and Nyathong (Kulong) Nguth. He grew up in Sudan where he was a farmer. He was married to Nyanhial Manytap in 1993. Nyanhial passed away in 1994. James moved to the United States shortly after her death. He has lived in Carroll since November of 2011. James worked for several local farmers over the years. He enjoyed socializing with his many good friends. James is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Nyanhial.
