Born September 22, 1956 in Wiesbaden, Germany he was the son of Jackson Sr. and Rowene (Jensen) Hurst. His father was in United States Air Force so the family lived in several locations before settling in Rosemount, MN. Jackson graduated from Rosemount High School in 1974. Following high school, he began a career in electronics and technology. He managed several audio/stereo retail stores and was very talented in his field. He was married to Connie Flack in September of 1988 and to this union was born two beautiful daughters: Heather Lee and Heidi Sue. They moved to Iowa 1992 where he worked at New Way in Scranton and retired in Manning. Jack was the youngest of six children and was blessed with a winsome personality, kind and loving heart, and wonderful sense of humor. He was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Jack was amazingly gifted with technical skills and mechanical craftsmanship that he freely shared with anyone who asked. It is hard to express how much he will be missed by his family and friends.
He is deeply loved and survived by his two daughters: Heather (Christopher) Grossman of Glidden and Heidi (Kyle) Curran of Rochester, NH; his sisters: Amy (Richard) Goodding of Lincoln, NE and Betty (Rick) Dodge of New Prague, MN; his brother Fred (Carolyn) Hurst of Egan, MN; his special friend Susan Powell of Manning; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Jackson Sr. and Rowene Hurst; and two brothers Michael Hurst and William Mark Hurst.
