Geraldine Louise Gauger, age 66, of Lanesbro, Iowa, passed away at her home unexpectedly on Saturday, June 4, 2011.
Born on October 18, 1944 at Omaha, Nebraska, she was the daughter of Alvin and Betty (Collier) Sievers. She grew up in Omaha where she graduated from high school and then lived in Chicago before moving to Carroll in 1979. Geraldine has lived in Lanesboro for the past 18 years. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith as a girl. In her spare time she enjoyed cleaning, gardening, decorating, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her two sons: John DeVore of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, and Joseph Trudeau of Lanesboro; a daughter Tami DeVore of Glidden; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a brother Terry Sievers and his wife Becky of Atlanta, Gerogia. She was preceded in death by her parents and, her brother Steve, and three grandchildren: Wesley, Charles, and Douglas.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, June 10, 2011 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll. Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 P.M. on Thursday at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll.
