Gerald Foster

Gerald Foster, age 91, of Bismarck, Arkansas, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at his home. He was born April 15, 1924 in Green County, Iowa, the son of the late Fay Andrew and Sara May Rinn Foster. Gerald was a retired farmer and cattle rancher. He enjoyed gardening, watching animals in his yard and working on projects that benefited the Bismarck community . Gerald was a member of Oak Bower Church of Christ in Bismarck. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jean Foster and one son, Allen Foster. Gerald is survived by two sons, Dean Foster of Iowa and Robert Foster of Germany, two sisters, Jean Benning of St. Louis, MO and Geraldine Bayles of Perth, IL, three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Oak Bower Church of Christ in Bismarck, AR, with Bro. Keith Thornton officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until service at the church. Graveside services and Interment will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Scranton Township Cemetery near Scranton, IA, with Pastor Bob McKnight of the Scranton Church of Christ officiating.
