Faye E. Seidl, age 59, of Coon Rapids passed away on Friday, December 11, 2015 at her home near Coon Rapids. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Annunciation Catholic Church in Coon Rapids with Fr. Andrew Hoffman as Celebrant. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Coon Rapids after 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday where there will be a Christian Wake Service held at 6:30 P.M. The casket will be moved to Annunciation Catholic Church at 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday where visitation will resume until the time of service. Lector for the Mass will be Rosemary Paulsen. Gift bearers will be Sarah Schlichte and Elizabeth Schlichte. Music for the Mass will be by the Annunciation Choir with Diane Slater as Organist. Casket bearers will be, her brother-in-law LeRoy Schlichte, nephews: Ryan and Steven Schlichte, and nieces: Elizabeth, Sarah, and Brooke Schlichte. She grew up in the Dedham area and graduated from Kuemper High School in 1974. Following high school she attended DMACC in Boone. On July 30, 1977, Faye was united in marriage with Dave Seidl at St. Joseph’s Church in Dedham. Faye’s interest in reading led her to be the head librarian at the Coon Rapids Library. She played the piano and organ for the local parishes. In her free time, Faye enjoyed gardening and canning. She would cook and bake and was known for her Christmas candies. She would knit and crochet afghans. Preceding her in death is her father Gaylord Stangl, sister Gail Darby, sister Julie Schlichte, and parents in law Rubert and Leona Seidl of Coon Rapids. Faye is survived by her husband Dave Seidl of Coon Rapids; honorary children Elizabeth Schlichte of Iowa City, Ryan (Brooke) Schlichte of Nevada, Sarah Schlichte of Templeton and Steven Schlichte of Templeton; mother Arlene Stangl of Dedham; siblings Sandie (Rod) Gonnerman of Lincoln, NE, Craig (Jill) Stangl of Coon Rapids, Royce Stangl of Coon Rapids, Peggy (Martin) Pinto of Argentina, Linda (Joe) Byrum of Des Moines, and Leann (Dan) McElroy of Des Moines; brothers in law: LeRoy Schlichte of Templeton, Jim Darby of Bellevue, WA, Dan (Diane) Seidl of Coon Rapids, Dale (Sue) Seidl of Coon Rapids; numerous aunts, uncles, nephews and many friends.
