Emily Lou Tadsen, 67, of Carroll died Thursday, April 17, 2008, at her home. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2008 at First United Methodist Church in Carroll with the Rev. Ken Ferguson and Peggy Scheidt officiating. Casket bearers will be Sam and Nola Newbanks, Larry and Twila Beckman, Tom and Linda Kindelspire, Lynn and Carol Kemp, Ralph and Dolly Gonzalez and Robert and Donna Van Osdol. Wayne Seaman, and Kelly Foley. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery at Carroll. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 4:00 P.M. on Sunday where there will be a prayer service held at 7:00 P.M.. The casket will be moved to the church at 12:00 P.M. on Monday to lie in state until the time of service. The family suggests memorial contributions to First United Methodist Church or St. Anthony Regional Hospital in lieu of flowers. A daughter of Glenn Leo and Florence Lola (Imel) Rick, she was born Aug. 22, 1940, at Morrison, Ill., graduated from Morrison Community High School in 1958 and attended Northern Illinois University at De Kalb, Ill. She and Richard Bristol Tadsen were married June 11, 1960, at Morrison. Mrs. Tadsen moved to Carroll in June 1972. She was a financial specialist at Farm Credit Services for 22 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, PEO and the St. Anthony Hospital Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Richard, of Carroll; a daughter, Deanna Castro, and her husband, Nelson, of Ankeny; a son, Jeffrey Tadsen, of Indianola; and two sisters, Linda Elijah of Stanton, Mich., and Susan Williams of Morrison. Mrs. Tadsen was preceded in death by her parents.
