Eli Rue Rowedder, age 2, of Carroll passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll with Pastor Brian Licht officiating. Friends may call at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll from 5 - 8 P.M. on Friday evening. Visitation will resume at the church at 9:30 A.M. on Saturday until the time of service. Organist for the service will be Tami Biggerstaff, the congregation will sing “Jesus Loves Me” and “I am Jesus’ Little Lamb”, and the St. Paul Lutheran Church Choir will sing “God’s Own Child, I Gladly Say It” and “Children of the Heavenly Father”. Casket bearers will be Kevin Rowedder, Chris Rowedder, Melissa Hoffman, and Krista Koch. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at Westside State Bank in Carroll and memorials may be left at the church or mailed to: Westside State Bank c/o The Family of Eli Rowedder - 1020 Highway 71 N. Carroll, Iowa 51401 Born on October 28, 2013 in Carroll, IA, Eli was the son of Craig and Kara (Reiter) Rowedder. He was baptized on January 18, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll. Eli loved playing with his tractors and trucks. He enjoyed fishing and playing with his sisters Olivia and Katie and his brother Michael. He loved visiting his grandparents, reading books, and playing outdoors. He was an awesome hugger and gave great kisses. Eli was always the happiest little boy. Eli is survived by his Mom and Dad, Craig and Kara Rowedder of Carroll; two sisters: Olivia and Katie; a brother Michael; his maternal grandparents: Shery and Tom Reiter of Carroll; his paternal grandparents Deon and Dale Rowedder of Carroll; his maternal great-grandmothers Ethel Petersen of Carroll and Margaret Reiter of Carroll; his paternal great-grandmother Ruthana Witt of Carroll; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Eli was preceded in death by great-grandparents: Ruvilla and Verna Rowedder, Donald Petersen, George Witt, and Marvin Reiter.
