When he was a young boy, Doyle moved with his family from rural Glidden to rural Scranton. Doyle attended school in Bayard, graduating from Bayard High School in 1951. He then farmed with his father.    On July 12, 1953, Doyle was united in marriage with Janice Faaborg at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson. Three children were born to this union. Doyle and Janice farmed northeast of Coon Rapids and spent 54 years together on the present homeplace. In 2008, they retired from farming but continued to live on the acreage. For many years, the couple vacationed at Branson and took an occasional trip to Colorado.    Doyle was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served as an elder. He also served on the board of directors for the Bayard Elevator, the Iowa Associated Saddle Clubs and the Northwest Iowa Quarter Horse Breeders Association. Doyle also held memberships in numerous organizations including: AQHA, American Angus Association, and the American Simmental Association. For 15 years, Doyle and Janice served as 4-H leaders for Greene County Buckaroos Horse 4H Club.    Throughout the years, Doyle enjoyed attending his kids’ high school sporting events, taking his family to horse shows, bird-watching, having morning coffee with his friends and taking the dogs for a ride. Family was very important to Doyle. He was very proud of his family and savored the atmosphere of family gatherings.       On Wednesday, May 9, 2012, Doyle died at Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson, Iowa, following a period of declining health. He was seventy-eight years of age.    Doyle is survived by: his wife Janice of Coon Rapids; three children: Chris Lee and husband Tom of Coon Rapids; Melanie Anderson and husband Doug of Marion and Mike Bielenberg and wife Emma of Ames; six grandchildren: Dr. David Shirbroun; Becky Carse and husband Ben; Christopher Anderson and fiancée Ania Sikata; Ryan Anderson; Nathaniel Anderson and Jared Bielenberg; one great-grandson Landon Dean Carse; a brother Don Bielenberg and wife Sheryl of Scranton; two sisters Betty Bielenberg of Ames and Mary Hill and husband Charles of Springfield, Missouri; other relatives and many friends.    He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Mathew Anderson.
