Douglas Lynn Reeves, age 82, of Glidden, IA, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025 at his home in Glidden.

DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE FUNERAL SERVICE FOR DOUGLAS REEVES HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR MONDAY, DECEMBER 1, 2025 AT 1 P.M. AT PLEASANT RIDGE COMMUNITY CHURCH NEAR GLIDDEN.

THE FAMILY WILL GREET FRINEDS FROM 12 P.M. ON MONDAY UNTIL THE TIME OF SERVICE.

Doug was born on October 25, 1943 to Benjamin and Nellie (Douma) Reeves in rural Sheldon, IA. On November 29, 1969 Doug was married to Ruth Jones in Fremont, Michigan and to this union two daughters were born Rhonda and Rebecca. The couple eventually settled in Glidden in 1987 and Doug worked for Crouse Cartage as a driver for many years before purchasing his own truck. He enjoyed watching football and television.

Doug is survived by his wife Ruth of Glidden; two daughters: Rhonda Croson (James) of Macedonia, IA, and Rebecca Reeves of Glidden; a granddaughter Emma Reeves; a special son Jaben Hasbrouck of Carroll; a brother David Reeves (Sandy); and in-laws Pat Jones, Mary Newsome, Sue St. Charles (Jim), Dan Jones (Margaret), and Jim Jones (Denise); and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Nellie Reeves; his in-laws Charles and Virginia Jones; two brothers-in-law Philip Jones, Dave Newsome; and a sister-in-law Becky Jones.
