Douglas Wayne Anderson

Douglas Wayne Anderson, age 68, of Glenwood, IA, and formerly of Arcadia, IA, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at Glen Haven in Glenwood, IA.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll, IA, with Pastor Ben Dose of Zion Lutheran Church in Arcadia officiating.  Casket bearers will be Doug’s family members.  Burial will be in the Arcadia Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll from 1 – 2 P.M. on Wednesday prior to the service.

Doug was born on October 8, 1952 in Carroll, IA, and he was the son of Elvin and Zelda (Lussman) Anderson.  He was the middle son of three boys.   Doug was a resident of Glenwood State Hospital School for the past 63 years.

Doug is survived by a brother, Terry Anderson (Vicki) of Red Oak, IA; a sister-in-law Diane Anderson of Pleasant Dale, NE; six nieces and nephews: Jill Trease (Barry) of Pleasant Dale, NE; Michael Anderson (Brandy) of Vail, IA, Jim Anderson of Pleasant Dale, NE, Nic Anderson (Molly) of Malvern, IA, Lindsay Taylor (Jason) of Overland Park, KS; and Jason Sickels (Katie) of Red Oak, IA.

Doug was preceded in Death by his parents, Elvin in 1999 and Zelda in 2019, a brother Allen Anderson in 2002, and a niece Lisa Anderson in 1976.
