Diane Eleanor Lally

Diane Eleanor (Mayer) Lally, age 70, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family; her husband Richard, her son Chet, and her daughters Sheri and Shauna.  Diane fought a courageous battle of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) over the past few years.

A Celebration of Diane’s Life will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll. Burial will be held at 11:15 A.M. on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery in Vail, IA.

Diane was born in Carroll, IA on June 9, 1953. Diane grew up on a farm with her parents and 10 siblings outside of Willey, IA. She remained in the Carroll area for most of her life, working for General Electric and the Carroll County Courthouse. After retirement from the Courthouse, she moved to Arnolds Park, IA for a brief period of time before relocating to Mesa, AZ to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Diane loved attending sporting events for her grandchildren and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.  She enjoyed reading and watching sports, westerns and Hallmark movies.

Diane is survived by her loving husband Richard of Mesa, AZ; her son Chet Venteicher and wife Sheryl of Gilbert, AZ; her daughter Sheri Addington and husband Phillip of Atlanta, GA; her daughter Shauna Quintanar and husband Chris of Mesa, AZ; and her stepson Zachery of Sioux City, IA. Diane is also survived by her 8 grandchildren: Miranda, Vincent, Deven, Jackson, Grayson, Jaxon, Austin, and Logan.
