Delores “Dee” Kay Wolterman, age 56, of Carroll passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at St. Anthony Regional Hospital in Carroll. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll with Pastor David Loeschen of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Denison officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 P.M. on Tuesday evening at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll and will resume at 10 A.M. on Wednesday until the time of service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for Dee's family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com Born on March 4, 1960 in Jefferson, IA, she was the daughter of Jerald and Beatrice (Roberts) Boyd. She grew up in Scranton and graduated from Scranton High School in 1979. Following high school she attended DMACC in Ankeny and returned to Scranton and worked at the Scranton Café. Dee managed the KFC in Carroll and later worked as a manager at Pizza Hut. She began working for American Home Shield in 1995 and has worked there for 21 years. Dee was married to John W. Wolterman on April 25, 1987 in Carroll at an outdoor ceremony in Graham Park. Dee enjoyed camping, going to the casino, shopping, and spending time with her family especially her great nieces and nephews. Dee also adored her dog Hazel. Dee is survived by her husband John of Carroll; her daughter Megan Wolterman of Carroll; a sister Pat Johnson (Gary) of Ames; two brothers: Jerry Boyd (Cindy) of Scranton, and Jim Boyd of Carroll; five sisters-in-law: Marge Wolterman of Lake City, Debra Loeschen (Pastor David) of Denison, Cindi Cregeen (Kevin) of Creston, Pat Madden (Bert) of Carroll, and Linda Culligan of Carroll; five brothers-in-law: Jim Wolterman of Lake City, Dale Wolterman (Tina) of Carroll, Gary Wolterman (Lisa) of Carroll, Larry Wolterman (Mary Lou) of South Pole, AK, and Mike Wolterman (Bonnie) of Glidden; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dee was preceded in death by her parents Jerald and Beatrice Boyd, her mother and father-in-law Wilbur and Helen Wolterman, two nephews: Jerry and Chris Wolterman, and a brother-in-law Mike Culligan.
