Della M Reiff, age 85, of Carroll, IA, passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 at Accura Healthcare of Carroll.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll with Father Patrick Behm as celebrant and Phil Phillips assisting.  Gift bearers will be Parker Eich and Maggie Eich.  Music will be by Kathy Halbur. Burial will be at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.

Memorials are preferred to the Our Lady’s Rosary Makers, 4611 Poplar Level Rd., Louisville, KY 40213.

Della, the daughter of Louis and Florence (Schirch) Reiff was born on December 29, 1936 in Carroll, Iowa.  She graduated from Mt. Carmel High School on May 9, 1954.  She was united in marriage to LaVern Eich on June 28, 1955 and moved to Austin, Minnesota, then resided in Clinton, Illinois until returning to Carroll, Iowa in 1976. She was employed at the General Electric plant in Carroll until she retired in 1997.

Della was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church and was very active in several prayer groups throughout the years. She was a very devoted Catholic and spent numerous hours making rosary’s for the Our Lady’s Rosary Makers. Della was a Eucharist Minister and often took communion to the homebound in the Carroll area. In her spare time, you could often find her playing the guitar and singing along to several of her favorite hymns.

Della is survived by her children: Marty (Cindy) Eich of Palatine, IL, Vickie Fritze of Olathe, KS, Kimberly (Tim) Dvorak of Carroll, IA, Terry (Connie) Eich of Laurel, MT, and Tracy (Yvette) Eich of Katy, TX; fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister Jean (Cliff) Eischeid of Carroll; brother Arthur Reiff of Carroll; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law Joe Fritze; grandchildren, Kyle Fritze and Kendall Eich; sister Marcella Sullivan, and brother Alvin Reiff.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral in Carroll with Deacon Dave Prenger as celebrant.  Music will be The Old Rugged Cross, O Lord I Am Not Worthy, Precious Lord Take My Hand, Peace Like A River, and Because He Lives. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. with a rosary at 6:30 P.M. at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll on Friday, January 28, 2022.
