Dee "Joe" R. Lawrence

Dee R. “Joe” Lawrence, 67, the son of Lenard & Lucy Lawrence , was born May 27, 1942 in Bayard , IA. He passed away Tues., May 5, 2009 at his home in Inola , OK . He attended Iowa State University and later graduated with a degree in Accounting from N.W. Illinois. He then moved to Chicago where he worked for Willett Co. until he moved to Tulsa and purchased Boone’s Bookkeeping and Tax Service. He sold his business in 2006 and went to work for Inola Health Care Center. He relocated to his home in Inola , OK in 2008. His parents, three brothers and one nephew precede him in death. His sisters, Kay and husband Bob Marler of Maryville , TN , along with another sister, Cheryl and husband, Dennis Cowen of Lauden, TN survive him. Eight nephews, one niece, six great-nephews, two great-nieces and sister-in-law, Linda Lawrence of Woodward , IA also survive him. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Scranton with Rev. Ben Kolars of Central Christian Church in Carroll officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Scranton Township Cemetery.
