David John Warnke

David John Warnke, age 37, of Lake City, IA, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at Stewart Memorial Hospital in Lake City.

Private funeral service will be held October 14, 2022 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden with Chaplain Angelo Luis officiating.  Burial will be in the Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery.

David was born on June 16, 1985 in Carroll, IA, and he was the son of Steven and Sheila (Schultz) Warnke.  He grew up in Lake City and was self-employed following high school.  David enjoyed fishing, working on most anything, and helping people.

David is survived by his four children: Damian Warnke, Haley Warnke, Jamie Mikesell, and Dominic Warnke; his parents Steven and Sheila Warnke; two sisters: Denise Moeller (Tyler) and Dusty Cochran; his maternal grandfather Robert Schultz; his paternal grandparents Dennis and Donna Warnke; and several other extended family members.

David was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Bonnie Schultz and his cousin Karl DeVore.
