Dale Anton Venteicher, age 56, of 3928 E. Aspen, Mesa, Arizona, and
formerly of Carroll, Iowa, passed away at the Banner Baywood Hospital in
Mesa on September 19, 2007 following a short illness.
Born on January 4, 1951 in Carroll, Iowa, he was the son of Clarence
and Loretta (Kasperbauer) Venteicher. He graduated from Kuemper Catholic
High School in 1969. After high school he enlisted in the Air Force and
was stationed in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and served overseas in Japan and
Korea. When living in Carroll he was married to the former Diane (Mayer)
Lally and had three children. Dale was employed by General Electric for
many years. In January 1996, Dale and Cindy (Harms) Hanlon moved to
Arizona and were married on July 18, 2007 at their home. He was employed
by Trompeter Semflex as a machinist in the fabrication department. Dale
was a member of the Modified Motorcycle Association and the Harley Owners
Group for many years. While living in Carroll, he was a member of St.
Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church. Dale loved spending time with his family,
riding his motorcycle, playing slot machines, and making his wife Cindy
laugh everyday.
Surviving are his wife Cindy of Mesa, Arizona; a son Chet Venteicher
and his wife Sheryl of Gilbert, Arizona; a daughter Sheri Addington and her
husband Phil of Plano, Texas; a daughter Shauna Quintanar and her husband
Chris of Queen Creek, Arizona; a step-son Jamie Hanlon and his wife
Christie of Lanesboro, Iowa; a step-daughter Chris Schuler of Mesa,
Arizona; seven grandchildren; and a brother Larry Venteicher and his wife
Linda of Chandler, Arizona. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, his
grandparents, and a nephew.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday,
September 26, 2007 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Glidden with
Father Joseph Dillinger celebrating. Visitation will begin at 2:30 PM on
Tuesday at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden where there will
be a Rosary at 3:00 PM and a Christian wake service at 7:00 PM. Burial
will be in the Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery near Glidden. Casket bearers
will be Jeff Langenfeld, Craig Langenfeld, Travis Boell, Corey Boell, Corey
Venteicher, and Tom Wiederien. Military honors will be conducted by the
Merle Hay Post of the American Legion in Glidden.
