Dale C. Beidler

Dale C. Beidler, age 67, of Auburn, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Zion Lutheran Church in Auburn with Pastor Craig Zandi officiating. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 4:00 P.M. on Wednesday where there will be a prayer service held at 7:00 P.M.. The casket will be moved to the church at 8:30 A.M. on Thursday where visitation will resume until the time of service. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery near Auburn. Born on January 21, 1945 in Carroll, Iowa, he was the son of William Sr. and Golda (Caywood) Beidler. He grew up in Lidderdale and graduated from Carroll High School. Following high school he worked at Paul and Wayne’s as a tank wagon driver. He then worked for Rohlin Construction as a front end loader and he recently worked for Regency Park in maintenance retiring in May of 2010. He was married to LaDonna Tingle on March 2, 1964 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll. LaDonna passed away on April 8, 1990. He later married Linda O’Tool on December 19, 1988 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll. The couple lived in Carroll and later made their home in Auburn. Dale was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Auburn and the Carroll Moose Lodge. He enjoyed playing cards, sightseeing, camping, and fishing with his grandchildren, and Red Solo Cup socializing. He is survived by his wife Linda of Auburn; three daughters: Jodi Reeder and her husband Steve of Dickson City, Pennsylvania, Brenda Schwictenberg of Columbus, Nebraska, Kelly Hawes and husband Ronald of Ridgecrest, California; four sons: Jeff Beidler and his wife Jeanne of Bouton, Iowa, Brian Beidler and his wife Kim of Carroll, Craig O’Tool of Mesa, Arizona, and Eric O’Tool and his wife Jessica of Mesa, Arizona; ten grandchildren: Jace Hartl, Kelsey Beidler, Cory Beidler, Jordan Beidler, Maggie Beidler, Elizabeth Beidler, Jarott Hawes, Alexis O’Tool, Skylar O’Tool, and Dawson Beidler; his father-in-law Leonard Fischer of Carroll; two sisters: Betty Morris of Panora, Iowa and Pam Borst of Mesa, Arizona; two brothers: William Beidler Jr. and his wife Colleen of Carroll and Don Beidler and his wife Jane of Carroll; a sister-in-law Lola Tigges and her husband Gary of Coon Rapids; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his Yorkshire Terrier Amber. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law Dick Morris, and his mother-in-law Lucille Fischer.
