Crystal Jean Bentley

Crystal Jean Bentley, age 74, of Glidden, IA, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Accura Healthcare of Carroll.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery in Glidden with Rev. Rick Hamilton officiating.

Crystal was born on October 27, 1950 in Carroll, IA. She was the daughter of Quintin and Delores (Platt) Bentley. Criss, as she was affectionately known to family and friends, grew up in Glidden and graduated from Glidden High School in 1968. She attended A.I.B. in Des Moines and earned a degree in accounting. She worked various accounting jobs including the Carroll and Sac County Courthouses. She was married to Gary Wothe in 1980 and to this union a son Nicholas was born. They lived in Des Moines and later divorced. Criss moved back to Carroll and worked in the Auditor's office in the Carroll County Courthouse. She has lived in Glidden since 1989. She is survived by her extended family and her friends.
