Constance "Connie" Dentlinger

Constance “Connie” Louise Dentlinger, age 74, of Carroll, Iowa, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll. Honorary casket bearers will be her grandsons, Ethan Dentlinger, Craig Dentlinger, Evan Newcomb, Owen Kerwood, Kaleb Johnson, Konnor Johnson, Kase Morris, and Curley Morris. Burial will be in the Carroll Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll prior to the service.

Connie was born on May 15, 1952, at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll, Iowa, and she was the daughter of Dick and Dorothy (Throop) Wiebers. She attended Kuemper Catholic Schools in Carroll graduating with the Class of 1970. In September of 1971, she was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Dentlinger at Holy Spirit Church in Carroll. They were blessed with four children: Craig, Keith, Dawn, and Katie. The couple later divorced, and she was employed in the Carroll area as a Certified Nurse’s Aide for several years. She later was self-employed as a housekeeper in the Carroll area and cleaned for several families and businesses in the area until she was forced to retire due to her failing health. Connie enjoyed spending time with her family especially with her grandchildren.

Connie is survived by her children: Keith Dentlinger (Wendy) of Boone, Iowa, Dawn Kerwood (Michael) of Urbandale, Iowa, Katie Johnson of Carroll, Iowa; grandchildren: Abigail Bertram, Ethan Dentlinger (Katherine), Craig Dentlinger, Evan Newcomb, Owen Kerwood, Kaleb Johnson, Faith Johnson, Konnor Johnson, Gracie Johnson-Morris, Kase Morris, Curley Morris; four great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Robert Wiebers, Richard Wiebers (Gail), Judy Davis, Donna Sigler, and Jim Wiebers (Ann); nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Connie is preceded in death by her son Craig Dentlinger; great-grandson Liam Snyder; her significant other Dennis Frank; her parents; brother Tom Wiebers; sister-in-law Beth Wiebers, and brother-in-law Gene Davis.
