Colene “Coke” Ann Beidler, age 77, of Carroll passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, September 26, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Carroll with Pastor Brian Licht officiating. Organist for the service will be Jan Hoff and the congregation will sing: “Lift High the Cross”, “Abide With Me”, and “I’m But a Stranger Here”. Casket bearers will be Monty Rohrbeck, Lon Dentlinger, Tyler Rohrbeck, Jason Rohrbeck, Brooke Dentlinger, Michael Dentlinger, Gary Cederlind. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 5:00 P.M. on Sunday where there will be a prayer service held at 6:30 P.M. The casket will be moved to St. Paul Lutheran Church at 9:30 A.M. on Monday where visitation will resume until the time of service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com Born on March 1, 1939 in Carroll, IA, she was the daughter of Edward and Marcella “Sally” (Goetzinger) Foley. She grew up in Templeton where she attended Sacred Heart School as a girl and graduated from St. Angela’s Academy in Carroll. She worked at Bob’s Grill as a waitress where she met her future husband Bill. Colene was married to William “Bill” Beidler Jr. on October 5, 1957 in Maryville, MO. The couple made their home on a farm near Lidderdale where they raised their family. Colene worked as a cook for her parent’s nursing home (Foley Rest Home) and Carroll Community Schools. After she retired she worked part time for Scharfenkamp Equipment Auctions as a clerk. Colene and Bill moved to Carroll in 1990. They belonged to Immanuel Lutheran Church while living in Lidderdale and joined St. Paul Lutheran Church after moving to Carroll. She enjoyed playing cards, golf, bowling, going to coffee with her friends and spending time with her family. She was an avid fan at her grandchildren’s sporting events. Colene was an excellent cook and was famous for her banana bread and delicious family gathering meals. Colene is survived by her husband William ”Bill” Beidler Jr. of Carroll; two daughters: Becky Rohrbeck (Monty) of Glidden and Jeri Dentlinger (Lon) of Omaha; her son Craig Beidler of Flower Mound, TX; four grandchildren: Tyler Rohrbeck (Jen) of Glidden, Jason Rohrbeck (Cherie) of Granger, Brooke Dentlinger (fiancé Daniel Smolinski) of Omaha, and Michael Dentlinger (fiancé Rachel Gogan) of Omaha; five great grandchildren: Caden, Landon, Colton, Kyleigh, and Alexa; three brothers: Bernard Foley (Connie) of Perris, CA, Kenneth Foley (Marilyn “Tots”) of Carroll, and Malick Foley (Rosie) of Mansfield, TX; sisters-in-law: Irene Foley of Carroll, Betty Morris Moore (Edward) of Mesa, AZ, Linda Beidler of Mesa, AZ, and Pam Borst of Mesa, AZ; brother-in-law Don Beidler (Jane) of Carroll, and several nieces and nephews. Colene was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Marcella “Sally” Foley, her mother and father-in-law William Sr. and Golda Beidler, brother Jack Foley, brothers-in-law Dale Beidler and Dick Morris, and sister-in-law Donna Beidler.
