Coleen M. Heim

Funeral services for Coleen Heim, age 82, of Glidden will be 10:30 AM, Tueday, August 6, 2013, at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll. Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 9:30 AM until service time. Interment will be in the Wall Lake Cemetery. Reverend Bill Bernau of Ascension Lutheran Church in Coon Rapids will officiate. Coleen Mardel Heim, was born to Walter and Opal (Dickson) Thede, at Glidden, Iowa on November 9, 1930. She attended schools by Coon Rapids and Glidden and completed the eighth grade at Ayrshire. In 1957, she was united in marriage with George Heim in Minnesota. The family made their home at Lake City. After George died, Coleen moved to Glidden and eventually became a resident at Mallard View in Carroll and Thomas Rest Haven in Coon Rapids, where she died on Friday, August 2, 2013. Coleen loved riding horses, traveling, doing crossword puzzles and playing bingo. Coleen is survived by three grandchildren: Matthew Moore of Bentonville, Arkansas; Nathan Lintz of Omaha, Nebraska and Nickoly Moore of Jonesboro, Arkansas; a sister Darlene Halbur of Carroll; two brothers Darwin Thede of Des Moines and Darold Thede of Jacksonville, Florida. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband George; a daughter Anna Sue; two sons Jerry and Russell and two sisters Lucille and Delores.
