Charles Ray, son of Myron and Mary L. (Vanderpool) Colemen, was born June 23, 1955, at Omaha, Nebraska. He grew up in Omaha and attended schools there. Chuck then taught upholstery at the Goodwill Industries trade school in Omaha. From 1976 to 2006, Chuck was married to Kathy Fischer. This marriage ended in divorce.
While in Manning, Chuck worked for Plastico, drove truck for M & I DeHy and was an extraction operator at what is now AGP. Chuck was also self-employed in numerous side-businesses including: upholstery, small engine repair, mowing, snow moving, car detailing and woodworking. He also served as an EMT in Manning for 6 years.On Thursday, June 3, 2010, Chuck died at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.Chuck is survived by sisters and brothers: Margaret Bessette and husband Roger of Millerd, NE; Richard Coleman and wife Char of Eagle, NE; Rosie Foster of Omaha, NE; David Coleman and wife Beth of Blair, NE; several nieces and nephews; three uncles: David Vanderpool of Hastings, NE; William George Vanderpool of New York and Charles Vanderpool of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers Joe, J.B., and Mike Coleman; and a brother-in-law Dave Foster.
