Chad Daniel Elliott

Chad Daniel Elliott, age 51, of Milo, IA, and formerly of Coon Rapids, IA, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at his home in Milo.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at Bethel Baptist Church in Carroll with Pastor Wayne Herman officiating.

Visitation will be held on Saturday afternoon from 12:30 to 1:45 P.M. prior to the service at the Bethel Baptist Church.

Chad was born on April 28, 1975 in Oakland, CA, and is the son of Robert and Rebecca (Drake) Elliott. He attended Coon Rapids-Bayard Community Schools graduating with the Class of 1993. During high school he worked for Wayne Herman roofing in the Carroll County area. Following high school, he continued to do roofing and worked for ET Video in Coon Rapids. He then started his own construction company 24/7 Construction in Coon Rapids with his friend Kelly Heiderscheit which they owned and operated until they closed. In 2008, he moved to Orlando, FL with his friend Coltan Ketelsen where he attended Motorcycle Mechanical Institute (MMI) in Orlando, FL, where he received his mechanics degree. In 2009, he moved to Indianola, IA, and was employed for Van Wall Equipment in Indianola. In July of 2011, he was united in marriage to Amy Hoyt in Indianola. The couple lived in Des Moines before moving to Milo, IA, and he worked for Warren County Secondary Road Department as a maintainer driver. Chad was a former member of Iron Men Ministry. He enjoyed riding motocross and competed in numerous competitions and races over the years. Chad never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time with his friends. He had a love for animals and raised several animals over the years including pot belly pigs, fainting goats, Roscoe the donkey, miniature herefords, chickens, and dogs to name a few but his most recent dog Lucy meant the world to him.

Chad is survived by his parents Bob and Becky Elliott of Carroll, IA; Sammi Elliott of Carroll, IA; aunts and uncles: Rod Drake of Bagley, IA, Bruce Elliott (Connie) of Mooresville, NC, Kevin Elliott (Deb) of Pekin, IL, and Linda Elliott of Morton, IL; and other relatives and friends.

Chad is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Sam and Gloria Drake; his paternal grandparents Clyde and Luella Elliott; aunt and uncles: Cheryl Rosenbeck, Keith Elliott, and Shawn Elliott.
