Wilfred William ( Bud) Irlmeier age 86 of Carroll died at the St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll on November 25, 2007 following a brief illness. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Wed November 28, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Templeton, Iowa with Father Dale Reif and Father Robert Gralap concelebrating the Mass. Lector for Mass will be R. T. Schreck, Gift Bearers will be Max and Anna Mae Irlmeier, Mass servers will be Amber Irlmeier, Beth Irlmeier, and Cassie Irlmeier. Placing the Christian symbols will be Janice Langel and Susan Grau.Organist for the funeral will be Mrs. Leonette Irlbeck and the Sacred Heart Church Choir will sing. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 2:30PM Tuesday where there will be a prayer service at 3PM and a Prayer service at 7PM . The casket will be moved to the Church at 8:30 Am on Wed for viewing until time of the funeral. Interment will be in the parish cemetery..Casket Bearers will be all the grandchildren: Brett(Buck) Irlmeier, Doug Olberding, Andy Olberding, Jake Irlmeier, Scott Gregory, Melissa(Missy) Nguyen and Kelly Foster, Abby Irlmeier, Tracy Olberding, Katie Gregory Bud as he was known to most had many occupations during his life including: He had owned and operated Irlmeier Plumbing and Heating Business in Templeton for several years, a feed salesman for Golden Sun Feeds and Peets Feeds, farming, and his last employment before retirement was with the Carroll County Conservation. He was a lifelong resident of Carroll County and was born on December 9, l920 at Templeton Iowa and was the son of Joseph and (Anna Feilmeier) Irlmeier. He was married to Marian(Toni) Peters on November 29, l945 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Carroll with Father O. W. Koester as Celebrant.Bud was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll and had been a former member of the Charles Carroll Council Knights of Columbus.. As a young boy he was baptized and confirmed at Sacred Heart Church. He attended school at Sacred Heart School.In his pare time enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, refinishing furniture, going to the Casinos and watching the cubs play ball. Surviving are his wife Marian(Toni) of Carroll, two sons: Jim Irlmeier and his wife Peggy of Glidden, Iowa and Monty Irlmeier and his wife Piffer of Carroll and two daughters: Karen Olberding and her husband Steve of Carroll and Lori Gregory and her husband Dennie of Glenwood, Iowa, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers: Donnie Irlmeier and his wife Kathleen of Audubon, Iowa, Max Irlmeier and his wife Anna Mae of Templeton,Iowa and Clete Irlmeier of Carroll and a sister Irene Kraus and her husband Al of Maple River, Iowa, and several special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers:Alex, Leo, Leonard Irlmeier, Sisters: Ann Irlbeck, Jean Brosnahan, Dorothy Crowdes, 2 grandchildren: Heidi, and Jason Irlmeier.
