Brently Oliver “Bo” Walker, the infant son of Michael and Cassie Walker, of Vesta, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 at Minneapolis Children’s Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Scranton with Pastor Doug Wing of Grace Life Church in Marshall, Minnesota officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the church. Casket bearers will be Mike Barrett, Stephen Engelmann, Eddie Stevens, and Curt Houk. Honorary casket bearers will be Tony Gruber, Jason Gibson, B.J. Wright, Josh Krause, Vince Vu, and Tom Marotzke. Burial will be in the Scranton Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Minneapolis Children’s Hospital and may be left at the church or mailed to the family at: Michael and Cassie Walker Box 213 Vesta, Minnesota 56292. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Scranton and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com Born on Friday, March 27, 2015 at Minneapolis Children’s Hospital, he was the son of Michael and Cassie (Engelmann) Walker. Brently fought a courageous seven day battle with a congenital heart defect. Brently is survived by his parents Michael and Cassie Walker of Vesta, Minnesota; two sisters: Paige and Josephina; his maternal grandparents: Jeff and Lisa Engelmann of Bird Island, Minnesota and Wendy Engelmann of Bird Island, Minnesota; his paternal grandparents: Don and Rina McCool of Bayard; his step-grandmothers: Nancy Walker of Jefferson and Tina Walker of Scranton; his great grandparents and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceding Brently in death are his brother Ethan Engelmann, his grandfather Rodney Walker and several great grandparents.
