Bonnie Lou Streeter

Bonnie Lou Streeter, age 83, of Glidden, Iowa, and formerly of Lanesboro, Iowa, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026 at Regency Park Nursing and Rehab in Jefferson.

Per Bonnie’s wishes, no formal service will be held. A private family burial will be held in the Lanesboro Cemetery at a later date. Bonnie was born on January 2, 1943, at her parents’ home in Lohrville and she was the daughter of John and Lillian (Borland) Miller. She attended Lohrville Community Schools before transferring to Lake City High School graduating with the High School Class of 1961. On June 11, 1961, she was united in marriage to Dennis “Duck” Streeter at Woodlawn Christian Church in Lake City. They were blessed with five children. They made their home south of Lanesboro. Bonnie was a homemaker raising her children and helped operate the family farm throughout her years where she loved walking beans. In 1996, they moved to an acreage west of Carroll where they resided for 28 years before moving to Glidden. Bonnie volunteered several hours at New Hope in Carroll in her spare time. She was an avid reader and enjoyed going to garage sales. Dennis and Bonnie always had a large garden where she canned the produce they reaped. She was well known for her baking and always had treats ready for her family when they visited. Bonnie had a deep love for animals and especially enjoyed watching dogs. She will always be remembered for how kind and generous she was. Bonnie always saw the best in everyone and was so supportive and encouraging no matter the circumstance.

Bonnie is survived by her children: Mark Streeter (Marti) of Boone, IA, Jill Powers (Dave) of Boone, IA, Joy Stork of Glidden, IA, Dan Streeter (Marie) of Lanesboro, IA, Sheryl Walker (Justin) of Oak Creek, CO; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brother Lowell Miller of Florida; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Dennis; her parents; her grandson Nick Melton; three brothers: Wilbur “Buss” Miller (Clara), Don Miller (Norma), and Paul Miller.
