Beverly Schaeuble

Beverly Ann Schaeuble, age 73, of Carroll, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the Carroll Health Center. Born on April 23, 1937 at Kimbalton, Iowa, she was the daughter of Otto and Mildred (Bladt) Rattenborg. She grew up in the Audubon area where she attended school. She was married to Joseph Schaeuble on September 17, 1954 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Templeton. The couple raised their family in Templeton, Halbur, and Carroll. Bev worked as a waitress at the Carroll Country Club and The Corner Inn Restaurant before working at General Electric for 16 years. She was a member of Holy Spirit Parish and the Holy Spirit Women’s Guild. Bev has been a resident of the Carroll Health Center since April of 2008. In her spare time she enjoyed refurnishing antique furniture, woodworking, crafts, and sp ending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are four daughters: Joan Janssen and her husband Bruce “Rusty” of Glidden, Iowa, Janet Geary of Berwick, Iowa, Jolene Schaeuble of Indianola, Iowa, and Joyce Danner and her husband Jeff of Dedham, Iowa; three sons: Larry Schaeuble of Carroll, Iowa, Darrell Schaeuble and his wife Cindy of Kansas City, Missouri, and Ron Schaeuble of Willey, Iowa; three sisters: Alberta West of Belen, New Mexico, Jean Fancher and her husband Tom of Belen, New Mexico, and Delores Schaeuble of Carroll; fourteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren; six sisters-in-law: Madge Scott of Trinidad, Colorado, Margaret Heithoff and her husband Eugene of Templeton, Iowa, Mary Kisgen of California, Anna Mae Irlmeier and her husband Merlin “Mox” of Templeton, Iowa, Judy Balk and her husband Leroy of Templeton, Iowa, and Jeanie Schaeuble of Des Moines, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson, and a brother Robert Rattenborg. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 29, 2010 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carroll with Fr. Timothy Johnson as Celebrant. Friends may call at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 3:00 P.M. on Thursday where there will be a Rosary at 3:30 P.M. and a Christian Wake Service at 7:00 P.M.. The casket will be moved to the church at 9:00 A.M. on Friday to lie in state until the time of service. Lectors for the Mass will be Tracey Pick and Melissa Stitz. Gift bearers will be Tyler and McKenzie Danner, and Eucharistic Minister will be Judy Stricker. Casket bearers will be Scott Schaeuble, Terry Schaeuble, Adam Edwardson, Tony Ruchti, Jessica Stofer, and Holli Geary. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery.
