Beverly Colleen Maule, age 85, of Lake City passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Shady Oaks Care Center in Lake City.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Cottonwood Cemetery in Lake City with Rev. Randy Russom of the Lake City Union Church officiating. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll and online condolences may be left for the family at www.dahnandwoodhouse.com
Bev was born on June 8, 1934 in Logan Township in Calhoun County, IA, and was the daughter of Donald and Iva (Redenius) Patten. She grew up in Lake City and was married to Marvin Maule on April 8, 1952 in Sac City, IA. The couple made their home in Sac City and lived in other locations throughout their married life. Marv passed away in 2000 and Bev has made her home in Lake City since his death. She was a member of the Lake City Union Church. Bev enjoyed crocheting, gardening, bowling, fishing, reading, camping, and spending time with her family. She has made her home at Shady Oaks Care Center in Lake City since May of 2018 where she received excellent loving care.
Bev is survived by her children: son Randy Maule (Sandy) of Des Moines, daughter Georgia Wiederin (Joe) of Lake City, and daughter Rose Thomas of Carroll; a brother Larry Patten of Atlanta, GA; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law Marlene Lents and Vicki Girard; and several nieces and nephews.
Bev was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Marvin; her sister Donna Irwin; a granddaughter April; a great-granddaughter Jessica; and a great-great-granddaughter Mariah.
