Beulah Pauline Heller, age 98, of Carroll passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Regency Park Nursing Home in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Vail with Fr. Steven Brodersen as Celebrant. Music for the Mass will be by the St. Ann’s choir. Visitation will be held at the Church from 9:30 A.M. on Wednesday until the time of the Mass. Lector for the mass will be Bernie Heller. Gift bearers will be Kelly Vaughn and Patricia Norby. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery. Casket bearers will be her grandsons: Tom Vaughn, Bob Vaughn, Larry Vaughn, Bill Vaughn, Ron Carey, and Thomas Jackson.
Born on October 6, 1914 at Vail, Iowa, she was the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Feltner) O’Boyle. She grew up in Vail and graduated from St. Ann’s Academy. She was married to Fred Jackson in 1935. The couple lived in Vail where they raised their family. Fred passed away in 1960. Beulah was then married to Paul Heller in 1970. Beulah worked at Claudia’s Nursing Home in Denison for many as a nurse’s aide and a cook. She lived in various towns and moved to Carroll in 2006. She enjoyed sewing, flowers, cooking, feeding her dog and cats, and spending time with her family.
Beulah is survived by her husband Paul Heller of Carroll, two daughters: Jean Carey of Denison and Peg Vaughn of Carroll; a daughter-in-law Joan Jackson of Lewis, Iowa; 18 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
Beulah was preceded in death her parents, her husband Fred, a son Carol Thomas Jackson, two grandsons: Alan Vaughn and Raymond Carey Jr., three brothers, and two sisters, and two sons-in-law Tom Vaughn and Raymond Carey.
