Betty Dimick

Betty B. Dimick, age 91, of Carroll and formerly of Glidden passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at the Carroll Health Center in Carroll, Iowa. Born on April 19, 1916 at Omaha, Nebraska, she was the daughter of Karl Morton and Nell Elizabeth (Brown) Bickel. She was married Monty F. Dimick. They were married for 38 years. He passed away on June 24, 1978. Betty worked as an executive secretary for almost 50 years in many cities in the East and Mid West for five U.S. Government Branches and in private industry as an export, school and legal secretary. She lived in Glidden for 20 years before moving to Carroll in 1989. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Carroll. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, February 23, 2009 at the Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery near Glidden. Fr. Glenn Rankin of Trinity Episcopal Church in Carroll will officiate.
