Benjamin Alan Tiefenthaler, age 41, of Carroll, IA, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025 at his home in Carroll.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 A.M. on Monday, June 30, 2025 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church – St. John Paul II Parish in Carroll with Fr. Patrick Behm as Celebrant. Music for the Mass will be by Kathy Halbur and Kathleen Macke. Lector for the Mass will be John Lawson. Gift bearers will be Jay, Becca, Jaxon, and Jace Willenborg. There will be a luncheon immediately following the Mass in the Greteman Center. A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
A visitation will be held at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll after 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 29, 2025 with a Christian Wake Service at 6:30 P.M. There will be no visitation prior to the Mass on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested for a later designation.

Ben was born on February 18, 1984 in Sioux City, IA. Ben’s family moved to Red Oak when he was 7 years old and he graduated from Red Oak High School in 2002. Ben attended Iowa State University and earned his degree in Marketing and International Business. He was married to Stephanie Fogle in 2016 and the couple later divorced. Ben worked in agricultural marketing and for Hyatt Hotels in marketing. He was most recently employed by Walmart in Carroll.
Ben was always up for an adventure, a gathering or outing, and was a thrill seeker with many stories to share. Ben was loved and supported by many. He was kind, caring and thoughtful. He loved spending time with his nephews, his family, and his friends. He also loved watching movies, listening to music, playing games and enjoyed graphic design. Ben was an avid and proud Iowa State Cyclones fan.
Ben is survived by his parents Tim and Mary (Pearson) Tiefenthaler; his sister Becca Willenborg (Jay) of Carroll; two nephews: Jaxon and Jace Willenborg; his special friend Steph Deal of Cedar Rapids; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many good friends.
Ben was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Paul and Rosie Pearson; his paternal grandparents Leonard and Janice Tiefenthaler; an aunt Sandy Alley; an uncle Mike Pearson; and a cousin Zach Pearson.
